Senior Accountant – Manufacturing Industry
About the Opportunity: Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This role will play a key part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial records, supporting month-end close activities, and contributing to process improvements within the accounting function.
Key Responsibilities:Manage the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.Support internal and external audit requests.Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate posting of financial transactions.Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.Assist with inventory accounting, cost allocations, and fixed asset management.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Minimum of 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within the manufacturing or distribution industry.Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.Proficiency in ERP systems (experience with SAP, NetSuite, or similar preferred).Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data.Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
