Job Purpose

Herc Equipment Rentals is seeking a talented and innovative Business Intelligence Developer to join our dynamic team in beautiful Bonita Springs, Florida. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dashboard development and SQL analysis, and an ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. This role requires a creative thinker who can work well with business partners to understand their needs and articulate technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders.

What You Will Do...

• Develop and maintain Qlik Sense dashboards and reports across all functional lines of business
• Work in Teradata data warehouse and Qlik data load editor to build performant views in support of Qlik reports
• Review SQL in existing reports for opportunities to optimize load times and improve performance for users
• Collaborate with business partners to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Design and implement innovative solutions to meet business needs
• Articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data presented in reports
• Stay updated on the latest Qlik Sense features and best practices.
• Maintain focus on information security

Requirements

• Proven experience developing front-end reporting – preferably in Qlik Sense, but open to experience in similar tools like Tableau and Power BI
• Strong knowledge of complex SQL queries - experience using Teradata a plus
• Working knowledge of Python
• Ability to work well with business partners to understand and fulfill their requirements
• Innovative and creative thinker with a problem-solving mindset
• Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating technical ideas to non-technical individuals
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Education: 
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
