As a Tax Operations Associate within the Client Tax Operations Utility team, you support daily tax processing for the Asset Servicing team, ensuring compliance and accuracy in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with internal clients, client service teams, and relationship managers to deliver high-quality service and meet regulatory requirements. Your role demands strong capital markets knowledge, effective teamwork, and the ability to manage deadlines under pressure.

Job Responsibilities

  • Process transactions accurately in line with Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring error-free execution.
  • Prepare and report cost basis transactions to the IRS and generate 1099 reports for regulators and clients.
  • Adhere to FATCA and US Tax regimes, maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Partner closely with extended teams within Tax Operations and other departments such as Client Services, Product, and Technology.
  • Identify and escalate errors or exceptions promptly, ensuring issues are addressed and resolved.
  • Respond to queries and complaints, providing clear and timely communication to stakeholders.
  • Maintain audit focus in all business-as-usual activities, complying with firm policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications, Skills And Capabilities

  • Commerce graduate with a strong academic record and minimum 3 years of work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to resolve complex issues independently.

  • Effective problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Experience working independently in a deadline-driven environment.
