We're seeking a passionate, personable, and highly professional individual to deliver impactful services to WIC participants in York City, with opportunities to support additional clinics across York County.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Services: Engage directly with WIC applicants to assess eligibility by verifying identity, residency, income, and voter registration—ensuring every client receives the support they need with accuracy and care.
  • Appointment Coordination: Create a welcoming experience by efficiently checking in clients, managing incoming calls, and scheduling appointments with precision and professionalism.
  • Community Referrals: Connect families to vital health and social services, acting as a trusted resource and advocate for their well-being.
  • Flexible Service Coverage: Primarily serve the York City clinic, with opportunities to support satellite locations throughout York County—bringing essential services to communities where they’re needed most.

Essential Duties:

  • Commit to the vision and mission of Community Progress Council.
  • Greet clients and assign appointments to the appropriate team members.
  • Answer phones and schedule participant appointments.
  • Provide basic information on nutrition and health services.
  • Participate in meetings and continuing education programs.
  • Ensure compliance with documentation requirements for nutrition education services.
  • Promote and support breastfeeding among WIC participants.
  • Perform anthropometric and hematological measurements after training.
  • Travel to satellite clinics and perform Program Assistant responsibilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in an office setting is preferred, showcasing your ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. 
  • High School Diploma or GED required. Candidates with clinical experience or coursework in nutrition are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Successful completion of all required background checks, physical, and TB test.
  • Bilingual Spanish, Haitian-Creole, or Arabic is highly desired.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to satellite clinics across York County are essential for consistent service delivery. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and a readiness to learn WIC-specific software systems.
