Your next role as a Miracle Maker
Maravai LifeSciences is seeking a #MiracleMaker to join our accounting team as a Financial Reporting Manager. As a Financial Reporting Manager, you will report to the Director, Financial Reporting, and be a key member of the Financial Reporting team primarily responsible for SEC reporting and Technical Accounting. The Financial Reporting Manager will be responsible for supporting the analysis and reporting of the results of the Company and providing accounting guidance and technical support to key stakeholders, which requires strong communication skills, timely correspondence, and ability to independently address complex issues.
How you will make an impact:
- Assist with the preparation and filing of SEC reports including Form 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and other registration filings and preparation and review of earnings release.
- Preparation of financial statements and footnotes in accordance with US GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation and review of MD&A in quarterly and annual SEC filings, including working with functional owners of information to obtain needed inputs.
- Preparation of technical accounting memos and researching of accounting standards.
- Staying up-to-date with new accounting pronouncements and assist with the creation of implementation timeline and working with various business units to ensure timely adoption.
- Assist with researching, resolving and documenting complex accounting issues.
- Maintain the quarterly reporting calendar.
- Assist with company-wide SOX implementation initiative, including drafting and maintaining of policies and procedures related to quarterly external financial reporting, and other ad-hoc areas as appropriate.
- Identify and drive process improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with Company accounting and internal control policies
- Assist with quarterly reviews and annual audit activities of external auditors. Work with external auditors to provide necessary information relating to the Company’s quarterly review and annual audits.
- Continue to maintain, develop and document Company’s accounting policies.
- Provide technical accounting assistance to divisional accounting teams to resolve questions and issues (e.g., revenue recognition, purchase accounting, leases, etc.).
- Assist the Legal department with the preparation of annual Proxy Statement.

The skills and experience that you will bring:
- 6+ years of experience in Financial Reporting, Auditing, and/or Accounting.
- CPA preferred
- Public accounting experience preferred.
- Ability to appropriately communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.
- Ability to read and interpret Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Able to identify and resolve technical, operational, and organizational problems.
- Ability to prepare written memorandums summarizing accounting research.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment while managing multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Experience with Workiva preferred.
- Highly detail oriented and organized in work.
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies, developing strong relationships.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $140,000 - $145,000. In addition, highly competitive long-term incentives in the form of company equity, bonus participation and company sponsored benefits are provided as part of the total compensation package. The salary offer will depend on multiple factors which may include the successful candidate's skills, experience and other qualifications, as well as the location of the role.
