Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Linux System Administrator to join our team. If you have a deep understanding of Linux environments, are passionate about automation, and enjoy working in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment—this opportunity is for you.

Tasks:

• Maintain and improve Linux-based infrastructure
• Automate repetitive tasks using scripts and configuration management tools
• Monitor system performance and ensure system availability and reliability
• Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven experience as a Linux administrator.
• Strong knowledge of RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) – intermediate to advanced
• Solid experience with BASH scripting – intermediate or higher
• Hands-on expertise with YUM and RPM package management
• In-depth understanding of network management – IP, routing, firewall configuration
• Confident in user and group administration, SSH key management
• Practical experience with Ansible – basic to advanced (role-based deployment, playbooks)
• Familiarity with automation tools from an administrative perspective
• Experience working with YAML and Jinja in automation/configuration contexts
• English – strong written and verbal communication skills
• Hyrid setup within Hungary: 4 days HO/ 1 day office per week

Nice to have/preferred skills and experience (not required)

• German – communication-level proficiency
• Knowledge of Python or other scripting/programming languages
• Familiarity with containerization platforms – Docker, Kubernetes
• RHEL certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, or any other level)
• Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) certificate
