Description

The Senior Manager of Human Resources is a strategic and operational leader responsible for overseeing HR functions at the campus level. This role ensures the smooth execution of HR processes while enhancing the overall employee experience. The Senior Manager supervises a team of two or more HR professionals and serves as the HR Business Partner to the General Manager, providing strategic guidance and support on workforce planning, employee relations, and organizational development. Key areas of responsibility include talent acquisition, onboarding, training, performance management, compliance, and employee engagement.

Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the on-site HR leader and strategic advisor to the General Manager and campus leadership.
  • Act as the HR Business Partner to the General Manager, offering proactive support and counsel on HR strategy, workforce planning, and employee engagement.
  • Provide direction, coaching, and support to local HR team members to ensure high performance and alignment with company values.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, training programs, and engagement programs. 
  • Oversee core HR programs including recruitment, onboarding, training and development, employee relations, performance management, and recognition.
  • Collaborate with leadership to assess staffing needs and partner with TA to develop effective site level recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Analyze HR metrics and trends using data from HRIS and talent management systems to inform decision-making and drive improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; regularly review and recommend updates to maintain compliance.
  • Stay current on HR trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies; proactively communicate relevant updates to leadership.
  • Promote professional development and certification opportunities for HR team members.
  • Participate in cross-functional HR initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including prior management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment law.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop HR professionals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS/talent management systems.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
