Job Description

As a Systems Administrator, you will ensure our computer systems are well-maintained and optimized for performance under the direction of the IT Manager. Duties include but are not limited to software configurations, performance monitoring, general break/fix duties and other items as directed by the IT Manager and other management.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement new technologies.
  • Provide technical support to our staff and end-users for Meridian, Futura and Aclara needs
  • Maintain existing applications and systems.
  • Manage / update system documentation, such as configurations, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage third party relationships with SEDC, Milsoft and other vendors.
  • Attend training and conferences as designated by IT Management
  • Maintain accurate change records and documentation on work performed.
  • Assist employees with system needs in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Other items as directed by management.

Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred or 5+ years’ experience in IT.
  • Proven experience as a System Administrator, with at least [5] years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft and Linux operating systems.
  • Database experience is a plus (SQL, Oracle)
  • Tableau experience is a plus
  • Strong communication skills with vendors and relationship management with vendors
  • Prompt and courteous support for employees / board of directors on needs
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong teamwork abilities are a must.
