Position Summary
The People Operations Generalist is a hands-on, trusted partner to our managers and team members across Hive Collective. This role provides day-to-day support in recruiting and onboarding, employee relations, payroll and benefits administration, and compliance—ensuring our people processes are efficient, empathetic, and aligned with Hive’s culture and values.

Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Manage full-cycle recruiting across all Hive Collective brands, from job posting to offer stage.
- Partner with department leaders to identify staffing needs and source top talent.
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation to ensure a seamless and positive new hire experience.
Employee Relations & Culture
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers regarding policies, performance, and workplace matters.
- Support a culture of feedback, recognition, and accountability through thoughtful communication and guidance.
- Assist with investigations, documentation, and resolution of employee relations concerns.
Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Administer bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Coordinate employee benefits enrollment, changes, and annual open enrollment.
- Reconcile invoices and maintain up-to-date employee records across all HR systems.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Maintain employee files, I-9 documentation, and other personnel records.
- Support the administration of leave programs and ensure compliance with applicable labor laws.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and systems.

Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience with exposure to talent acquisition, employee relations, payroll, and benefits administration.
- Experience within a multi-location retail, hospitality, or restaurants preferred.
- Working knowledge of U.S. / Florida employment laws and HR best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and influence across all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in HRIS and payroll systems; BambooHR or Paychex experience a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail, confidentiality, and follow-through.
- Proven ability to balance people advocacy with business needs.
