This position is a 1.5-year contract role to cover maternity leave. We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Korea. Reporting to the HR Director, this role plays a key part in providing seamless HR operations and employee experience across the entire employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding while ensuring compliance with local labor laws and company policies.

How You'Ll Create Possibilities

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Deliver end-to-end employee lifecycle management, partnering closely with internal teams (IT, Finance, Operations) and external HR vendors.
  • Manage payroll and benefits processes on a monthly and yearly basis, including benefit applications and responding to employee inquiries.
  • Administer employee welfare programs such as group insurance, DC pension, annual leave, hobby club, and medical check-ups.
  • Provide HR data and insights to support the business needs using Workday.
  • Update HR policies in alignment with the Korean Labor Standards Act and maintain accurate employee records/documentation.
  • Manage recruiting process — job postings, resume screening, interviews, and offer process.
  • Manage on/offboarding process
  • Support key HR programs & activities, including performance review, merit & bonus planning, training, and various HR communications.
  • Manage Korea’s employee engagement program, attending monthly calls and planning wellbeing initiatives and activities as needed.
  • Manage mandatory compliance trainings such as Industrial Safety & Health, Disability Awareness, DC Pension, and Sexual Harassment Prevention.
  • Collaborate with Finance to process HR payments and reports accurately and on time.
  • Participate in ad-hoc HR projects and initiatives as required.

What You'Ll Bring To Our Team

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS Degree or equivalent in Business Management, Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum 6 years of related HR experience
  • Strong understanding of Korean labor law and HR compliance
  • Hands-on experience in HR Operations, Payroll & Benefits, and HR Generalist duties
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in English and Korean (both written and verbal)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (especially, proficient in excel)
  • Experience in managing HR programs and vendors and proficient in using the Workday system

  • A self-starter with an ability to work and think independently
  • Proactively solve issues and be comfortable with ambiguity
  • Positive attitude & can-do spirit
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ownership
  • Experience working in a multinational corporation

Working Conditions:

  • 1.5year contract role for the maternity leave
