About the role
Join Joud Coffee’s Projects & Development team to shape beautiful, high-performing café interiors. You’ll take designs from concept through IFC, own the spec/FFE book, coordinate with MEP/kitchen and vendors, and support site through shop-drawing reviews and mock-ups—protecting brand intent, cost, and timelines.

What You’Ll Do

• Translate briefs into concept decks: mood boards, palette, materials, lighting intent, and brand cues.
• Space planning & GA layouts (zoning, circulation, seating counts, accessibility).
• Produce full drawing packages: plans, elevations/sections, RCP & lighting, power/data, finishes & partition plans.

Create and manage the Spec Book: finishes, fixtures, lighting, sanitary, hardware, FFE/OS&E; keep a live submittal register.

• Joinery/millwork detailing (bars, counters, banquettes, shelving); coordinate metal/glass/solid-surface packages.
• Kitchen/coffee bar ergonomics and coordination (clearances, services, loads) with consultants and suppliers.
• Signage & wayfinding coordination and environmental graphics handoff.
• Develop 3D models & renders (SketchUp + Enscape/V-Ray/Lumion) for approvals and value engineering options.
• Prepare tender/IFC sets; respond to RFIs; review shop drawings/material submittals; lead sample boards & mock-ups.
• Manage landlord/authority requirements (mall guidelines, ADCD/DCD or Dubai equivalent) and support approvals.
• Site support: design clarifications, snag follow-up, and as-built reviews to handover.

What You’Ll Bring

• Degree in Interior Design/Architecture; 4–7+ years in retail/F&B interiors (UAE/GCC preferred).
• Portfolio showing café/retail projects with detail drawings + spec pages.
• Tools: AutoCAD (expert), SketchUp, Enscape/V-Ray/Lumion, Adobe CC (InDesign/Photoshop/Illustrator); Bluebeam. Revit a plus.
• Strong grasp of materials & performance (hospitality-grade finishes), lighting fundamentals, and cost-savvy design.
• Comfortable coordinating with MEP/kitchen and managing vendors/subcontractors.
• Organized, deadline-driven, and collaborative communicator.

Location & Type

Abu Dhabi (HQ) with UAE site visits. Full-time, on-site.
