Purpose Of The Job
The Multimedia Video Producer (Digital + Motion Focus) is responsible for creating high-impact short-form video content that drives Guitar Center’s digital marketing and brand storytelling. This role blends hands-on production with expert-level motion design and fast-paced editing, producing content optimized for organic social, paid social, and digital campaigns.
From shooting and lighting to editing and animation, the Multimedia Video Producer delivers compelling, on-brand visuals that connect with musicians and audiences across platforms.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Plan, shoot, and produce video content for social, product, and performance-based campaigns.
- Operate cameras, lighting, and audio equipment for both studio and on-location shoots.
- Edit short-form and social-first videos in Adobe Premiere Pro with speed and precision.
- Create motion graphics, animated text, and lightweight animation in After Effects.
- Integrate sound design, music, and voiceovers to enhance storytelling impact.
- Perform color correction and grading in DaVinci Resolve for consistent visual quality.
- Optimize and version content for multiple platforms and aspect ratios (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts, Meta, etc.).
- Collaborate with social, marketing, and creative teams to produce thumb-stopping digital content.
- Translate creative briefs into engaging visual stories that align with Guitar Center’s brand.
- Stay current on video trends, animation techniques, and social storytelling styles.
- Maintain organized media, project files, and efficient production workflows.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Requirements & Special Attributes
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent work experience) in Video Production, Film, Multimedia, or related field.
- Valid state driver’s license and automotive insurance.
- 2–3 years of professional experience in video editing, digital content creation, or equivalent.
- Skilled knowledge of professional video production equipment operation including video cameras, audio recording equipment, file compression, video switching, graphics manipulation, lighting, and post-production equipment
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator); familiarity with sound editing tools.
- Skilled knowledge of professional video production procedures, practices, techniques, and terminology
- Strong knowledge of social-first video formats (vertical video, short-form, UGC editing).
- Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, and sound integration.
- Strong knowledge of motion graphics and animation techniques.
- Intermediate of proper handling and troubleshooting of broadcast quality video production and post-production equipment

Pay Rate: $65,000- $80,000 depending on background and experience.
This position is eligible to participate in the Guitar Center Company bonus program based on Company performance.
